ITALIAN COOKING LESSONS

Participants will learn how to prepare the most important and well know dishes of Italian cuisine. They will prepare the dough plus the technique of cutting home made pasta . Together with our Chefs will learn how to use condiments, time of cooking and will prepare fillings and stuffings. At the end of the lessons, our students will try the dishes they have cooked combined with the tasting of Umbrian wines.

Students will receive written recipes for the dishes to be prepared, a cooking apron and all necessary utensils. Interpreters and translations, if required, are included in the price.
A Participation Certificate will be given to each student at the end of the course.
We can organize excursions to local oil presses, wineries, the Perugina chocolate factory and other locations where typical products are made.

LANGUAGE LESSONS

Together with one of the most important Language Schools in Perugia, we organize at Ilgo Hotel courses of the Italian language for foreigners and courses of several foreign languages for Italians. The lessons are of different levels, from beginners to advanced.

These are spread in 20 to 40 hours and are developed in a period of 5 to 10 days. The purpose of the courses is to teach the students how to speak and communicate in a clear and concise way covering at the same time a basic grammar knowledge.
All teachers are of mother tongue, university graduates and with post-degree specialization.

At the end of the course an Attendance Certificate will be issued to all participants.
Before or after the Language lessons we can organize different excursions to the splendid Umbrian cities like Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Spoleto among others.

BIKING EXCURSIONS

Do you like to bike and are looking to visit our beautiful Region with an expert and competent guide?

The Ilgo Hotel offers you the possibility of guided excursions organized by Andrea, our Reception Manager, an expert biker who will be more than pleased to accompany you and your friends in the discovery of unknown winding routes in the “Green Umbria”

We have free bicycle parking for our clients.

There is also the possibility of renting different types of bicycles.

RESTAURANT QUALIFIED TO PREPARE DISHES WITHOUTG GLUTEN

Our Restaurant, “I Girasoli of Ilgo Hotel” is now part of the chain of restaurants qualified to prepare dishes without gluten having received the authorization by the Italian Association Celiac (AIC).

Our Chef beside many years of experience in the field has attended specialization courses given by AIC and has a national authorization to prepare dishes with products without gluten.
He has also participated in several competitions organized by different companies that produce products without gluten.

We are able to prepare delicious Menus following the guidelines required by our guests but with the characteristic taste of the Umbrian and National cuisine.

Our chef’s specialities are handmade pasta and home made desserts. We have competitive rates for groups of minimum 20 persons.
